RULES

A player tour is a multi-events competition or a series of events. Five-Star Sports Fiba 3x3 tour consists of 3 Main Stops and 4 Mini Stops. The duration of the tour spans across the duration of a year.

The player tour is geared around an individual athlete based on the following principles:

1. Players can form a 3-4 player’s team with different teammates for each tour stop.

2. Players can play in some or all of the tour stops, with the same or different teammates. However, in one tournament a player can play only with one team.

3. Tour standings are calculated for individual players.

4. The qualification spots for the player tour finals are based on the performance of individual players. A qualified player can then pick teammates (“captain’s pick”) to form a finals team.

5. The Final Tournament will decide the winner of the tour.

A player tour can be comprised of various categories, therefore:

-There can be a varying number of tour stops for the different categories, e.g. a tour can have five tour stops in the Open category but three tour stops in the Boys Under-16 category.

-There can be extracurricular categories in a tour stop, e.g. a given tour stop can have an Over-50 category that is not a part of tour and is being held only for said tour stop.

Player point rankings

Points will be awarded based on pools wins and losses, as well as placement finishes for the main stops. The more pool wins and the higher your placement in main stops, the more individual points you will receive.

Example- You sign a team up for the January 1st main stop. During that event, your team wins 1 pool game and loses one. Your team makes it to the semi-finals and ends up finishing in fourth place. This tournament was a yellow endorsed event, which means that you earned 300 points for the pool win. You earned 100 points for the pool loss, and 1,800 points for finishing 4th in the event; which puts you at 2,200 points for the entire event.

More information about the player point rankings can be found at the following link (see page 7)
